BONDED FIBER MATRIX

Seeding at the Stetson Mtn. windfarm saw the opportunity to replace erosion control blanket with Bonded Fiber Matrix.

A test plot was seeded on a steep slope and the results were very impressive.

Flexible growth medium being applied to 2:1 slope where erosion blankets had been specified. Seed fertilizer and lime had previously been applied.

An excellent alternative to erosion blankets is the application of Bonded Fiber Matrix or Flexible Growth Medium. These products are applied via the hydroseeder and are designed to endure adverse conditions. Once applied, the matrix adheres itself to the exact contour of the soil via interlocking fibers and special bonding agents, without seams or staples. These new products are completely biodegradable and have been tested and proven to match or exceed the performanceof erosion blankets.
